Update on site status (6/4/2008) Well, what we thought was a localized attack has become a world wide attack on IIS and SQL servers from someone taking advantage of Microsoft's penchant for allowing commands to be sent by query string. We're not worried about telling anyone this as the bot has already attacked over 500,000 systems world wide and has been investgated by the FBI already. We continue to work on solving the issue and keep the site flowing smoothly. Your continued support and help is appreciated.
Hackers try and take over our system (5/21/2008) As they say when you plug your machine into the internet, "It's not a matter of if you will be hacked, but how long until when you are hacked." Even with our security measures, we had a group insert some information into our real estate database that was forcing browsers to redirect to a porn site. For this, we are extremely apologetic. We cannot tell you how upset we are over this issue. To take a family oriented informational resource site and try to turn it into a traffic generating bot site for a porn site is...well, reprehensible. We believe we have installed the neccessary patches and fixes (of which there were many MSFT remote executable code holes) that would fix the issue. We're here to serve you, so if you run into any "Weird" things on the site that we didn't see, don't hesitate to drop us an email so we can jump right on it.
Site Running 100% and Maps Updated (5/9/2008) The site is running 100%. On top of that, we have updated the maps. We're constantly working to bring quality up to date and relevant map data that reflects a local set of information. Coverage on map items that only our community members would know or want to know about. Take a look.

Welcome to the NEWPORT SHORES, WA website. A wonderful community in South West Bellevue,
just north of New Castle, WA. Newport Shores was built in the late 1950's when the developer
cut canals into an old lakeside airstrip. The first home was completed in 1961. The development
was later completed by Norton Clapp, of Weyerhaeuser and Medina Land co.
We hope you find this community resource helpful and as much fun as we have putting it together.
